Roland Dwight Culler II hails from York City, NY, where he began dancing at the age of 9 years old. He continued his dance, acting, and singing training with the youth theatre company “TADA” until the age of 13, performing in many musical productions. He attended the “High School of Performing Arts” now called “Fiorello H. LaGuardia”, majoring and receiving a diploma in academics/dance in 1993. While attending high school, he studied on scholarship at “The Alvin Ailey American Dance Center” , “The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance”, and “The School of American Ballet” performing lead roles in many of it’s annual workshops.
He has worked with “Les Ballet Grandiva” touring extensively in Japan. He has also worked with “The Pennsylvania Ballet”, “The Boulder Ballet”, “David Taylor Dance Theatre”, and “The Longmont Dance Theatre”, touring and dancing in many classical and neo-classical roles. In 2002, Mr.Culler relocated to Milan, Italy to dance, teach, model. He has held master classes in various techniques all over Italy. He recently has returned to the United States, where he can be found teaching and choreographing for various school around America.
