Christine Booker was born in Washington, D.C. She began her studies in ballet and tap at the age of three. At the age of six, Christine arrived at the Christian Dance Academy musical dance theatre. She studied ballet and modern dance with Adrian Bolton (Artistic Director), tap with James (“Mr. Jim”) Hughes, and African dance and drama with Victor Bah. Her level of dance increased, performing many major roles. By twelve, she choreographed two finales for the entire school.
She also studied at the Knock on Wood tap studio and the National Ballet. During her studies at the Ballet Arts Academy, she was educated under Oscar Hawkins, Artistic Director, who nurtured and developed her love for teaching and choreography. Christine teaches Vaganova Russian and Classical Ballet, and choreographs contemporary dance.
